Government & EDB Convene 26th Exporters’ Forum to Resolve Port and Logistics Supply Chain Challenges

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) hosted the 26th Exporters’ Forum on August 19, 2026, at the EDB premises in Colombo. Chaired by the Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, Sunil Handunnetti, the forum provided a direct platform for exporters, 3PL operators, and freight forwarders to present operational bottlenecks to senior ministry and customs officials.

Primary topics addressed included streamlining port customs clearance procedures, reducing terminal turnaround times, stabilizing freight surcharge structures, and removing regulatory delays for raw material import inputs bound for export processing zones.
