EDB and SheTrades Hub Launch “Digital Pathways” Initiative for Women-Led SME Exporters

 The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB), functioning as the host institution for the SheTrades Sri Lanka Hub, officially launched its “Digital Pathways for Women Entrepreneurs” capacity-building initiative on August 13, 2026. Conducted in partnership with Knowledge Partner Foundation.lk at the Panadura Divisional Secretariat Office, the program delivers targeted training in cross-border social media marketing, digital export documentation, and online business development for export-oriented small enterprises.

By equipping regional craft, specialty food, and apparel producers with direct cross-border digital marketing capabilities, the initiative establishes direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales channels that bypass traditional multi-tiered export distribution networks.
