WISTA Sri Lanka Reappoints Chamila Bandara as President at Annual General Meeting

 The Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA Sri Lanka) unanimously reappointed Chamila Bandara as President during its 11th Annual General Meeting held at The Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo. Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Chairman Dr. Parakrama Dissanayake attended as Chief Guest, emphasizing that developing talent in maritime disciplines is essential to sustaining national trade growth.

The executive committee outlined key strategic goals for 2026–2027, prioritizing technical capacity building in ship financing, maritime law, marine insurance, and youth mentorship to expand Sri Lanka’s maritime talent pool.
