Hongkong Jihang Shipping Expands Regional Network with Maiden Colombo Call of MV JI ZHE 6

 Hongkong Jihang International Shipping Co., Ltd. has officially launched its liner services in Sri Lanka, marking the maiden call of its container vessel MV JI ZHE 6 at Colombo International Container Terminal (CICT). Headquartered in Ningbo, the vessel-owning carrier operates liner routes across China, India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and the Red Sea.

The carrier appointed Ocean Lanka Lines Ltd. (a subsidiary of ILM Holdings) as its exclusive local port agent. Adding Colombo to Hongkong Jihang’s service loop provides new feeder connections and additional slot capacity for Sri Lankan exporters and regional transshipment cargoes moving toward Red Sea and intra-Asian destinations.
