  • The QR Pivot: Navigating the Industrial Energy Squeeze

    As of today, April 29, the government has intensified the nationwide QR-based fuel rationing system to manage the ongoing energy crisis triggered by Middle East supply disruptions. While private vehicles face strict limits, the EDB is working to ensure that the “Export Green Channel” remains prioritized to avoid a complete standstill in the supply chain.

    This move highlights the fragility of our current logistics dependence on fossil fuels. In the “Modern Canvas” of Sri Lankan logistics, efficiency is no longer optional; it is a survival trait. Fleet operators are now forced to optimize every kilometer, using route-planning software to ensure that restricted fuel quotas are not wasted on empty “deadhead” miles.
