Industry acquisitions, expansions, and strategic moves announced.
Ipsos has confirmed ongoing discussions regarding the potential acquisition of Kantar Media, but no binding offer has been made yet, and it remains uncertain whether these discussions will lead to an agreement. Meanwhile, other companies have made notable acquisitions to expand their capabilities. For instance, Norstat has acquired PFM Research to enhance its position in the Swedish market and strengthen its data collection services, while Radius Global Market Research has acquired 7th Sense to bolster its global research and consulting expertise.
In another development, data science firm Bayes Price has acquired Red Centre Software to further strengthen its survey data sector capabilities. Bilendi & respondi, in partnership with NielsenIQ – GfK, has signed an agreement to acquire Netquest, with plans to expand their international presence and improve their proprietary technologies, with the deal expected to close by February 2025.
Other significant acquisitions include QuestionPro’s purchase of European video streaming platform SpatialChat to add value to its qualitative research and customer experience platforms. Additionally, Stagwell has agreed to acquire media monitoring platform UNICEPTA, which will become part of its PRophet suite of PR and marketing tools. Lastly, LoopMe has acquired mobile advertising platform Chartboost from Zynga, enhancing its offerings in advertising performance and monetization.
