2024 National Logistics Awards: Celebrating Excellence
The National Logistics Awards (NLA) 2024, held on October 23 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo, celebrated exceptional achievements in Sri Lanka’s logistics sector. Hosted by the Sri Lanka Logistics and Freight Forwarders’ Association (SLFFA), the event recognized over 40 winners in ten categories, such as freight forwarding, ocean carriers, airlines, warehousing, and project logistics. Seven “Legends Of Logistics” awards were also presented, acknowledging individuals who have significantly contributed to the industry.
The event, supported by 28 key organizations, including Sri Lanka Customs and the Ports and Shipping Ministry, emphasized collaboration and recognition in the logistics industry. It was powered by main sponsors like CL Synergy Ltd. and supported by Aitken Spence Maritime, Hayleys Advantis, and other sponsors, creating a successful celebration. The awards were assessed by a distinguished panel of judges led by Professor Lalith Edirisinghe from the CINEC Faculty of Management.
SLFFA representatives, including Chairman Channa Gunawardena, Vice Chairman Andre Fernando, and Treasurer Shavindra Dias, emphasized the resilience and innovation demonstrated by the logistics industry despite challenges like the pandemic and economic difficulties. The NLA 2024 also aimed to inspire the youth, drawing attention to the diverse sectors within logistics, and marked a key moment for the industry to come together and look forward to future success and growth.
